Chile: May imports climb but Jan-May still down

Chile’s May imports of sulphuric acid increased 15% year on year to 244,376 mt, though the total January- May volume was still down 21% at 779,406 mt, according to data from IHS Global Trade Atlas. Peru remained the main source of Chilean imports, supplying 157,908 mt in April. The country supplied 71% of Chile’s Jan-May imports, up from 53% over the same period in 2015 and 50% in 2014.
