China: Prices stable as increases not achieved

International offers to China remained in the $90s/mt CFR. Although some traders argued that prices below $90/mt CFR were not realistic, one source reported a deal at $88/mt CFR. Molten spot prices were heard in the low $80s/mt CFR, slightly higher than a couple of weeks ago, while crushed lump prices remained mostly in the mid-to-high $70s/mt CFR. But most international sulphur supply for May and June was already booked. Traders in China have been unsuccessful in pushing for higher prices thus far, as buyers remain comfortable with stock levels.
