China: January MOP imports up 35%

China imported 977,338 mt of MOP in January, a 35% increase on the same month of 2015, according to GTIS data. The monthly volume is a record-high dating back to trade statistics from 1995. Uralkali shipped 340,077 mt during the month, up from 176,122 mt in January 2015. ICL also increased Chinese-bound potash to 168,606 mt from zero.
