Domestic activity is slowing down in China and a weaker buying season in early Q1 was partly offset by good levels of DAP buying through March, according to Chinese producers. As a result, Chinese producers have largely managed to hold firm to their RMB 2,300/mt ($355/mt) EXW DAP price levels during the period, with some deals declining to as low as RMB 2,200/mt ($340/mt) EXW. With current export levels around $340/mt FOB from larger producers in China, the comparable EXW level for exports is around $30-50/mt below the lowest domestic sales.
