Domestic spin drier comprises a closure mechanism extending over the loading opening with one of its ends attached to one side of the opening, while at the other end is a lock which is coupled to a complementary recess in the upper cover (1) of the machine. A lid is attached at one point along its periphery to one side of the loading opening, and is disposed between the closure mechanism and the upper cover. The closure mechanism and the lid include locking means preventing lifting of the lid before the closure mechanism reaches its open position.
