China: August MOP imports plunge 71%

China imported 263,892 mt MOP in August, a 71% decrease from the same month in 2015 and, as was also the case in July, the lowest August figure since 2009. In August, China imported 122,932 mt MOP from Canpotex, down from 149,299 mt in the same month last year. Arrivals from Uralkali dropped to 104,912 mt MOP from 235,219 mt previously.
