China: Market steady with some price increases

Chinese sulphur markets remained relatively quiet, although prices were firmer and the near-term outlook was stable. Import prices remained relatively stable, and were in line with domestic port prices. Granular prices remained $155-160/mt CFR, with very little on the upper end of this range, while crushed lump prices were $140-145/mt CFR. There were some other views, as one trader said they struggled to get any granular prices close to $155/mt CFR and received price indications from phosphate producers at $145-146/mt CFR, while another suggested that crushed lump prices were still in the $130s/mt CFR. The latter source said this was a result of Russian sales at $130/mt CFR.
