France: Wide prompt and forward price spreads prevail

Prompt parcels from existing granular urea positions in the French Bay traded this week up to ?320-323/mt FCA, but residual purchasing interest is subdued for prompt loading. The forward market remains significantly softer, but traders are likely holding off on forward sales given the surge in Egyptian values evident via the HFC sale this week at $312/mt FOB, however isolated that deal may have been. Indications of possible interest for the summer were no higher than ?285-290/mt FCA ahead of this week's Ascension Day holiday.
