There are no new confirmed sales this week, but rumour abounds of additional deals for February loading. These included reports of a second NF sale of up to 40,000 mt to India, with the Clipper Orion potentially performing a consecutive voyage. Koch has however since directed the vessel to proceed to Taft for discharge after completion of loading. That cargo will emanate from Koch's prior purchase from OPZ, reported around an even $400/mt FOB. Suggestions are however that the price may have been substantially lower, around $380/mt FOB, but this could not be confirmed. Koch was bidding other suppliers as low as $375/mt FOB this week, but those bids were not accepted. The Black Sea value is assessed at an indicative $395- 405/mt FOB based on netbacks available and the estimated price in the Koch purchase.
