Gubretas evidently opted to scrap its March 6 tender for 12,000 mt prilled urea, but this could not be confirmed with the buyer. No awards were announced. Gubretas went for Iranian granular urea in lieu of prills, and a deal for a full supramax cargo to load from Iran is suggested concluded well below the $295/mt CFR number circulated by traders basis payment at sight for Iranian material last week in Turkey. The deal, reported done at an even $290/mt CFR likely provides the Iranian producer with a netback marginally below $270/mt FOB. An outage at the Gubretas-controlled Razi urea unit triggered the purchase from Pardies.
