Mosaic’s Q4 profit nearly tripled year on year to $361 million due to higher phosphates prices, along with higher sales volumes and lower operating costs in its potash segment, according to a company statement. Net sales rose 9% year on year to $2.38 billion in Q4 with net sales from phosphates up 4% to $1.6 billion due to higher prices and net sales from potash up 17% to $763 million due to higher shipment volumes, the company said.
