BPC plans to announce a price increase for fourth quarter shipments during the next few weeks. The rise of about $25/mt from the third quarter level of $550-560/mt CFR is smaller and later because of the current financial and economic uncertainty. BPC expects exports to Brazil to slow down following strong demand and restocking during the first seven months of the year. Buyers may cut back of purchases until Q4 before they need to rebuild their inventories.
