LNG 18: South Korea to start LNG bunkering in 2017

South Korea plans to begin LNG bunkering in the south of the country next year, KOGAS said on Thursday at the LNG 18 conference in Australia. LNG bunkering is scheduled to begin at Tongyeong terminal in 2017 and at the port of Pohang at an unspecified date, the gas company and utility said. South Korea currently operates only one LNG-fuelled ship out of Incheon near capital city Seoul, which is serviced by trucks.
