Woodside buys Senegal stake

Australia’s Woodside Petroleum has sealed a deal to acquire US player ConocoPhillips’ deepwater assets offshore Senegal for US $350m. The deal includes a 35% stake in the 560m bbl SNE deepwater oil discovery and the FAN off- shore oil find. Woodside also has the option to take over as operator for development and pro- duction phases of the two fields.
