PNG unconventional block deal

Australia’s South Pacific Resources reports that its subsidiaries in Papua New Guinea (PNG) have applied for five unconventional licences covering 75,000sq km. The prospective areas covers the shales sur- rounding the Foldbelt oil and gas fields; the Hides, Juha and P’Nyang gas fields; the Elk/Antelope/Triceratops gas discoveries; the pro- posed Stanley LNG project in Western Provinces; and the Foreland Area.
