New Guinea Energy (NGE) has applied to the Papua New Guinea (PNG) Department of Petroleum & Energy to relin- quish Petroleum Prospecting Licence 266 (PPL 266) and PPL 267. “NGE has requested that, should the applications be approved, the surrender becomes effective today, the date of lodgement. There is no reason to believe that the applications will not be approved,” the company said.
