PNG Muruk-1 well spudded

Oil Search reports that it has spudded the Muruk- 1 exploration well in PNG permit PPL 402 on 2 November 2016. The well is located north west of the Hides gas field. The objective of the well is to test the Toro Sandstone. Muruk-1 is being drilled with High Arctic Energy Services’ Rig 104 in the PNG Highlands. The permit is located near to the Juha and Juha North discoveries, said Oil Search.
