Maersk Drilling has won a US $24m deal for the jack-up rig M?rsk Gallant to undertake decommissioning work offshore the UK for Maersk Oil. The contract covers the plugging and abandonment of the Leadon and James subsea fields in the UK sector of the North Sea. The duration of the contract is estimated to 230 days, with work due to start in February 2017.
