US GoM lease sale in August

The US government says a lease sale for the western Gulf of Mexico (GoM) will be held this August in New Orleans. On 28 August, Lease Sale 233 the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management will offer 84,984sq km offshore Texas. This sale will make available 3,953 blocks from 9-402km offshore in water depths from 16ft (5m) to more than 10,975ft (3,345m).
