The board of Brazil’s Petrobras has approved the sale of its Colombian oil pipelines and some of its onshore oil blocks to Perenco for US $380m. The sale of the assets is part of a divestment plan to scale back on non-core assets. Petrobras wants to gather funds to develop the huge subsalt oil fields offshore Rio de Janeiro. Petrobras said the sale to Perenco included 11 onshore exploration and production blocks that currently have an average output of 6,530 boe/d. Perenco will also get Petrobras’ oil pipelines Colombia and Alto Magdalena, with respective capacities of 14,950 b/d and 9,180 b/d.
