London—Thermal coal delivered into the Mediterranean region, most notable Turkey, picked up over the week as Colombia’s supply “was present in the market again” following ongoing issues at the country’s mines, sources said Sept. 25. Vessels arriving in Turkey were from the country’s key source of thermal coal, Colombian origin material, market participant said, although demand in the country and the region in general remained lackluster.
