October date for Brazil round

Brazil will open bidding for the pre-salt Libra Block in Brazil's Santos Basin in October. The round will be held on 22 October in Rio de Janeiro, said National Petroleum Agency (ANP) director Helder Queiroz. Using Rio is a change from capital Brasilia as originally planned. The Libra Block covers 1,500sq km and is expected to hold recoverable reserves of 8-12 Bn bbl of oil, ANP director general Magda Chambriard said previously.
