Brazil will likely hold an oil-field bidding round by October for areas outside the coveted subsalt deepwater region, a director of the country’s energy regulator ANP said on Tuesday. The auction for blocks in the northern part of the country could be held “by late September or early October” if government approval comes by the end of this month, ANP Director Magda Chambriard told reporters.
