Australia has offered 31 offshore exploration blocks from five basins – with the majority lying offshore Western Australia. The 2010 Offshore Petroleum Exploration Acreage Release is offering 31 blocks located across five basins: Western Australia (26 blocks), the Northern Territory (1 block), the Territory of Ashmore and Cartier Islands (2 blocks) and South Australia (2 bloks).
