Opec Sees Demand Salvation in 'Other Asia'

The main engine of demand growth for global oil markets this year will not be China but "other Asia," Opec said in its latest Monthly Oil Market Report (MOMR), which was published on Friday. The category--defined as non-OECD Asia, excluding China--will add some 430,000 barrels per day of demand in 2016, over half of which, 230,000 b/d, will come from India, according to the report.
