Azerbaijan's Socar Braces for Turbulent Year

This year could be one of the toughest on record for Azerbaijan, as its economy reels from the oil-price collapse and production from the giant BP-operated Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) reservoir in the Caspian Sea starts to decline. Major challenges also loom for state oil company Socar, which is committed to spending more than $10 billion on various key projects over the next five years.
