Azerbaijan’s Socar ships first 90,000 mt of Azeri light to Belarus

Moscow—Azerbaijan’s Socar has sent its first delivery of Azeri Light to Belarus, a spokesman confirmed Friday. The company sent a 90,000 mt shipment of Azeri Light from the Turkish port of Ceyhan on Thursday evening. Earlier this week Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Roumas said that the country was interested in signing a long-term crude supply contract with Azerbaijan. He said at the time that Belarus wants to ship this crude via the Odessa-Brody-Mozyr pipeline for processing at the Mozyr oil refinery, Belarusian news agency Belta reported.
