Kuwait's Kufpec Spuds First Drill in Pakistan's Jati Block

Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Co., known as Kufpec, the Gulf state's international upstream arm, has spudded its first exploration well in the onshore Jati Block in southeastern Pakistan. "We're still drilling. We had not yet reached total depth but we're ahead of our schedule with the drilling," Kufpec CEO Sheikh Nawaf Saud al-Sabah told International Oil Daily. Drilling activities follow the completion of seismic studies on the block ahead of time and within budget last year, Sheikh Nawaf said.
