Egypt, Jordan Sign Energy MOU

Egypt and Jordan have signed an oil and gas cooperation agreement, the Egyptian petroleum ministry said. The deal was agreed between Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co., the state Jordanian National Electric Power Co. and Jordanian - Egyptian Fajr for Natural Gas Transmission and Supply Co. -- the firm which operates and manages the Arab Gas Pipeline (AGP). The AGP runs 265 km from El - Arish on the Mediterranean coast in Egypt to Aqaba in southern Jordan with capacity of 10 Bcm/yr.
