Romania Referred to EU Court

Romania has been referred to the EU Court of Justice (ECJ) for failing to adopt an emergency plan under 2010 EU Security of Gas Supply rules. These rules aim to ensure states can cope with supply cutoffs. They were adopted after Gazprom halted all flows via Ukraine for three weeks in January 2009 (IOD Jul.17'09).
