India's state-owned Bharat Petroleum Corp. (BPCL) said it is in discussions with some foreign companies to sell a minority stake in its joint venture refinery at Bina in the central state of Madhya Pradesh. The 120,000 b/d Bharat Oman Refinery, which started operations in June 2011, is equally owned by BPCL and Oman Oil Co. The refinery is being expanded initially to 156,000 b/d and eventually to 300,000 b/d from current levels. The stake sale would help generate funds for the expansion.
