San Leon Scales Back Polish Licenses

UK-listed San Leon Energy is scaling back its operations in Poland in line with the company's new strategy to cut exploration costs and focus instead on development and production. The Dublin, Ireland-based independent announced Tuesday that it would relinquish four licenses in Poland -- Czersk, Budzow, Ilawa, and Praszka -- in order to cut costs. In addition, Poland's state-run PKN Orlen will take on San Leon's interests in eight blocks and part-blocks in the Bieszczady license area.
