Russian crude oil production grew year-toyear in April by 1.5% to 10.47 million barrels per day (42.84 million metric tons), driven by independent producers and higher condensate output from Gazprom and Novatek. Preliminary data from Russia's energy ministry also showed that Russian gas output was dipped 0.4% year-to-year to 55.87 billion cubic meters as supplies to former Soviet Union countries -- mainly Ukraine -- plunged nearly 25%.
