Keppel Nears Record Rig Order

Singapore's Keppel Offshore & Marine is close to securing its largest-ever order, which would supply five semisubmersible drilling rigs to Brazilian rig charterer Sete Brasil, according to a Keppel spokesman. Keppel signed a letter of intent (LOI) for the $4.12 billion order, a prelude to the final construction contracts, which are expected to be signed in two to three months.
