Eni has finalized an agreement with Italian state-run bank Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), announced in June, for the sale of its 89% equity stake in the TAG pipeline, which flows Russian gas across Austria into Italy (IOD Jun.13’11). The deal, part of a commitment made to the European Commission in September 2010, was cleared earlier this week by EC competition regulators (IOD Sep.30’10).
