TNK-BP said on Tuesday it has completed preparatory infrastructure work ahead of the 2012 launch of the Lan Do condensate field in Block 06.1 offshore Vietnam. The Russian-UK joint venture's subsidiary, TNK Vietnam, has wrapped up a 32-day subsea equipment maintenance program on the Lan Tay offshore facilities. TNK Vietnam head Hugh McIntosh says the Lan Tay work should help boost output and prepare for the Lan Do start-up. Lan Do is expected to produce 2 Bcm/yr, which should maintain condensate output from Block 06.01, which is now declining (IOD Nov.22'11).
