Republicans who control the US House of Representatives continue to target President Barack Obama's environmental policies, with a House Appropriations subcommittee voting to cut nearly all US funding for climate change programs from the US foreign aid budget. The subcommittee on foreign operations cut $8.6 billion, or 18%, from the State Department and foreign aid budget for 2012, including $10 million for the two United Nations organizations most involved with climate change diplomacy.
