摘要

The video starts with me looking off camera and talking, but with no audio. This continues for approximately ten seconds. Then I stop, turn and look directly into the camera, at which point I ask: This is a primer on how to talk about climate change. It doesn't matter if you're speaking to an individual or a group, or if we're in front of a microphone or a video camera. My advice also holds true if you're writing a letter to the editor, or an op/ed, or a blog post, or something for Facebook or Twitter. Follow these guidelines and you will be become a more effective, more persuasive communicator.
