The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate(NPD) said on Thursday that Total has foundoil and natural gas with its wildcat well6607/12-2 S in production license 127. Thewell was drilled about 8 km west of theNorne field in the Norwegian Sea.Preliminary estimates of the size of thediscovery are 3 MMcm-16 MMcm of oilequivalent. It may be developed in conjunc-tion with other fields in the area.
