China's natural gas production flatlined in April for the first time in a number of years, likely as a result of midstream bottlenecks and lower seasonal demand. According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday, gas output last month totaled 8 billion cubic meters (9.41 billion cubic feet per day), level with a year earlier and lower than the first-quarter average of 27.43 Bcm (10.76 Bcf/d).
