Production at a block operated by Total in Yemen has been interrupted by a labor strike in a neighboring block, the French major said Tuesday, likely bringing the amount of offline production to more than 235,000 b/d (IOD May 10,p1). "We can confirm that our production was affected," a spokesperson for the company told International Oil Daily. In December, Total's production amounted to nearly 70,000 b/d and the company had planned to increase production to 80,000 barrels this year. Total declined to say how much of its production was off line, or how much storage was available.
