Petrofac Year Starts Well

Middle East- and North Africa-focused oil services firm Petrofac said its engineering and construction division won contracts worth $5 billion in the first quarter of this year, boosting the value of its order book to $8.2 billion at Apr. 30. Speaking at the UK-listed company's annual general meeting of shareholders on Friday, Petrofac Chairman Rodney Chase said the company is confident that 2009 will be another year of strong growth.
