Petrofac starts year strongly

Oil and gas services group Petrofac said that its backlog had reached US $12.3 Bn by the end of April this year. The company said its Offshore Engineering & Operations divisions has made a "positive start" on its recent major contracts awards, including the Laggan Tormore gas plant on Shetland and the duty holder contract for the government of Sharjah.
