China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) said Tuesday that it has started trial production from a platform in the massive offshore Jidong Nanpu Block in Bohai Bay. The state giant said output from three wells at the 1- 29 drilling platform is stable at 880 b/d of oil and over 30 Mcm/d (1 MMcf/d) of gas. The platform is capable of supporting 16 wells, six of them water injection wells.
