Capesize pier down at CSX terminal in Baltimore

US east coast coal exports could take a hit after an accident at CSX's Curtis Bay coal terminal in Baltimore over the weekend put its larger pier out of commission. An asphalt vessel coming into an adjacent facility struck the Bayside coal pier on 25 August, injuring a worker. CSX is still assessing the damage, evaluating repair requirements and working with customers on delivery alternatives, the railroad said yesterday.
