摘要

Nitric oxide (NO) is a diffusible intercellular messenger that is involved in physiological processes ranging from vasodilation to neurotransmission.Knowledge of the spatiotemporal dynamics of NO release from cells is impor-tant for understanding normal cell-to-cell communication as well as disease states that exhibit altered NO dynamics.
