THE presentations season for Australia's foremost civil construction awards is on again. As usual, the early state judging for the Case Earth Awards is bringing forward some outstanding examples of environmental and construction excellence. Launched 14 years ago by the Civil Contractors Federation, and sponsored since Year 1 by Case Construction Equipment, the annual awards are credited with lifting the industry's commitment to the protection of the environment and construction innovation. "Each year we're delighted by the quality of entries," said CCF New South Wales executive director Craig Long. "Competition in the Case Earth Awards just gets tougher as contractors come up with better ways to meet their clients' needs without damaging our environment.
