Ariz. man to get jail time, ordered to pay $9.1M to CalRecycle

An Arizona businessman has been ordered to pay more than $9 million in restitution and will receive prison time after pleading guilty to defrauding California's beverage container recycling program.David Scott Anderson, former owner of Chandler-based Mission Fiber Group Inc., pleaded guilty to three felony counts of fraud in a Los Angeles County Criminal Court, according to CalRecycle. This included two counts of $4.24 million each in fraudulent California Redemption Value (CRV) claims and attempted fraud of $15.7 million.
