Novelis committed to auto aluminum ramp-up, boosting recycled content: Fisher

Novelis Inc. remains focused on ramping up its automotive aluminum production in North America and boosting its recycled content despite its recent change in leadership, interim president and chief executive officer Steve Fisher told AMM in an interview. Novelis will continue to focus on the maximization of new assets, such as two new automotive finishing lines at its Oswego, N.Y., facility, according to Fisher, who replaced Philip Martens at the Atlanta-based company’s helm last month after Martens' sudden departure caught many by surprise (amm.com, April 20).
