Northwest Europe-delivered industrial wood pellet prices kept steady this week in a holiday-affected market, with buyers’ and sellers’ price ideas disparate and larger US origin volumes still facing stiff competition from lowerpriced European supply, traders said Friday. Platts Friday assessed the weekly price of CIF NW Europe ‘I2’ industrial wood pellets basis 17 GJ/mt for delivery within the next 7-45 days, July 31-September 7 at $162.50/mt, unchanged on the week.
